Sensitive to the situation and the needs of our community in the IDP camps up north FLICT decided to contribute to the relief efforts in the small way. The social committee of FLICT driven by Chrishan, Upali and Shiva collected food items from all GTZ projects and handed them over to our partner ESCAPE project of LEEDS who are involved in relief measures in camps in Pulmudai.

Tissa Abeysekara, a Sri Lankan award-winning filmmaker & scriptwriter passed away last week at the Colombo National Hospital at the age of 70.

Tissa continuously worked with FLICT for the last year and was not only a inspiring, brilliant resource person to the project and the project’s partner organisations, but also a colleague and friend.

Our thoughts are with him and his family.
