Strategy Paper - Governance
Governance has received much attention by researchers, policy makers and activists both locally and globally. It affects the daily life of all people. Many social evils and breackdown of justice is attributed to poor governance. FLICT in tis discussions held with a wide spectrum of people identified five proirity areas for support under its focus area 3, “civic participation for democratic and pural forms of governance”. These priority issues for support were identified through a participatory process and agreed upon collectively.
FLICT has developed this strategy paper to be shared with our partners and other relevant parties. We clearly stat what is required as change in FLICT’s focus area and how best to bring about such change. It defines the concepts, presents the priority issues, options for interventions and also indicators to asses if the desired changes have actually taken place. The latter is an important aspect of project design and implementation. At the outset one must kow what change is being targeted and how to find out if the desired results have been achieved.
