Donors

FLICT has received strong support from numerouse donors since the project started operating in 2003. These committments enabled the project in turn to support over 200 local initiatives. The project team as well as all our partner organisations would like to express our gratitude and hope that the frutiful cooperation will continue.

The project FLICT is commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The European Union (EU) contributes financially to the project. Previous donors are listed below.

Terms of reference of the Donor Group

Donor Group

Every donor contributing to FLICT nominates a representative for the Donor Group. Interested and potential new donors may be invited to attend a meeting with observer status. While all management decisions will be taken within the Project Unit and the Steering Committee (according to their respective terms of reference), the Donor Group retains policy responsibility. It focuses on the overall design, objectives and monitoring of the performance as well as management of funds flow in accordance with the strategy defined by the Steering Committee. Decisions which require donor approval are:

Steering Committee membership or National Coordinator recruitment

Strategic frameworks for focus areas and capacity building

Decisions on new donor participation

Politically sensitive issues
