Support of these partner organizations and day to day work of FLICT is managed by a Colombo based Project Unit with currently 14 full-time staff members. They work together with a mainly Sri Lankan regional Consultant Pool and are supported by several interns. Their input is highly appreciated.
Strong efforts are made to ensure, that the project team as well as the advisory and consultant pool have a balanced representation, in terms of ethnicity, language, gender, age and professional experience. Additionally, the project team and the regional consultants participate regularly in capacity building measures to strengthen themselves for a constructive engagement in the field of conflict transformation.
A Steering Committee with broad representation oversees the strategic direction of FLICT, gives advice and approves financially and strategically important proposals.
An international Donor Group currently comprising representatives from Germany and the European Union has overall oversight of the programme.
German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) is the implementing agency of the FLICT Project on behalf of the two donors. The implementation is agreed and endorsed by the Sri Lankan Government. Ministry of Constitutional Affairs and National Integration is our counterpart ministry which always has one member in the Steering Committee.
