Consultant Pool

FLICT is committed to support partners to develop their capacities in conflict transformation and organizational development. As part of its strategy of local capacity building it will be training a pool of regional consultants to be certified and available for our partners and others. The selected persons to be certified as consultants will follow a training program on Coaching for Conflict Transformation and Peace Building Initiatives (CCPI). FLICT has identified a consortium of training service providers to design and offer the training program. The trained consultants will develop their skills in:

  • Facilitating self analysis of organizations
  • Facilitating conflict analysis in their areas of work
  • Designing and evaluating peace and conflict transformation projects
  • Assisting in proposal preparation

The selected 37 trainees all have substantial working experience and are drawn from the regions to ensure that they are familiar with the local socio-political situation.

The first batch of consultants will complete the first phase of the training consisting of seven training modules in January 2007. The second phase of undertaking supervised consultancies will continue for a further six months at the end of which they will be eligible for a Diploma. They are required to develop certain professional skills. A directory of the certified consultants will be publishes on this website in February 2007. FLICT partner organizations as well as other civil society and donor agencies are invited to draw on their competencies.
