FLICT Profile
CONTEXT
FLICT was born to address a critical need in Sri Lanka’s journey in the reconciliation process and move towards a lasting and meaningful peace where all people could live in harmony, enjoying equally the benefits of economic development. The project envisaged strengthening local capacities to transform society to one that is able to deal with differences of opinions, viewpoints and ideologies in a non-violent manner. Such efforts could give rise to a more tolerant society adopting more democratic means of decision-making, able to accept diversity and pluralistic values.
FLICT is a project of the German Development Agency, GTZ.
