Implementer and Partnerministry

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ) GmbH (German Technical Cooperation) is the implementing agency of the FLICT project on behalf of the current two donors.
GTZ is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development with worldwide operations. It provides viable, forward-looking solutions for political, economic, ecological and social development in a globalized world. GTZ promotes complex reforms and change processes, often working under difficult conditions. Its corporate objective is to improve people’s living conditions on a sustainable basis.

The implementation is agreed and endorsed by the Sri Lankan Ministry of National Languages and Social Integration which always has one member in the Steering Committee.
The Ministry’s mission is to formulate policies, programs and strategies, and implement them in order to achieve constitutional changes that reflect the will of the people, and promote power sharing, ethnic and religious harmony, peace building and national integration.
