FLICT Project Unit

Central to the FLICT concept and structure are the partner organisations comprising of local initiatives, networks and intermediaries. Strategic framework and day to day operations of FLICT are managed by a Colombo based Project Unit which draws support from a loose and mainly Sri Lankan advisory and regional consultant pool. A Sri Lankan Steering Committee with broad representation oversees the strategic direction of FLICT and approves financially and strategically important proposals. An international Donor Group comprising currently representatives from four bi-lateral donor agencies has overall oversight of the programme.

German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) is the implementing agency of the FLICT Project on behalf of the four donors. The implementation is agreed and endorsed by the Sri Lankan Ministry for Constitutional Affairs and National Integration which always has one member in the Steering Committee.
